Our Topper

Here's another bit of wedding creativity. I've done a couple of cake toppers for other people and, while I had save the dates, invites, a seating plan and various other bits to do I made a cake topper as well. It would've been strange to not make one for my wedding. The idea is basically a 3D version of the save the date, combining a bunch of things that we both like. The TARDIS is me, as is the dinosaur. The cat and the Pride and Prejudice book is my wife. The pint of beer is for both of us.

The Lord of the Rings ring around the cat's neck is both of us as well.

As I've said before in several of these 'model build' posts I tend to avoid objects with straight lines. I put the clay on in blobs and then have to spend ages smoothing it flat. The dinosaur's tail is also kinda long...but I wanted it to wrap around everything.

We've been to weddings before where the cake is so enormous most of it gets thrown away. We didn't exactly get the smallest cake...bit it seems quite small with the topper on it!
