So I thought, why not have a character each side holding up the 'table'.
Makes sense to put the finished seating plan at the top. Here it is in situ on the day.
We also made standees of the characters for the tables and put the characters on the placecards as well..to make it clear which table people should be sat at.
The little models are a whole different kettle of fish! I'll get to them later.
Anyway here are all of the original versions.
Toothless from How to Train you Dragon (my wife)
A 1964 Dalek from Doctor Who (me).
Legolas and Gimli from The Lord of the Rings (both of us).
Wall. E from...Wall. E (my wife).
The Gorn from Star Trek (me).
Berk, Boney and Drut from Trapdoor (me).
Thinking back on it I probably should've painted them all as a complete figure rather than chop the circle out of them on the side...the ones I did do that with gave me a lot more wiggle room with regards to positioning. Then again the process always improves the longer the project.
Oo yeah, and I did a bonus one:
Dug from Up.
And I did a little one that didn't fit in the final version.
