Herne Begins

Bit of drawing going on here, kinda similar to The Raedwald thing I did a while back but a bit more fictional. It started with an idea to draw a centurion..then I think listening to the latest Mike Oldfield album got in there somewhere as well. The cover's got a guy with a stag on it. (thought I'd better credit Rupert Lloyd at Diablo Pixels for it..should be good)

So yeah, it ended up not being a centurion, but a legionnaire and then it seemed a bit odd for this deer and this roman to be hanging around together so I had this idea that he'd gone native during some campaign. He sticks a couple of antlers on his helmet, fashions a weird staff and starts the Herne the hunter myth.
